    Bob's Steak and Chop House is a fine dining restaurant located in the Omni La Costa Hotel in San Diego. Since they are located in the hotel, you can wear casual attire. The atmosphere and staff are great. Take your kids--they'll love it, except for the carrots. The carrots were impressive to me, but the kids didn't like them. The filet mignon and ribeyes were perfectly cooked. It's a great example of a fine dining restaurant.

    A beautiful place with polished service and truly exceptional food! We loved celebrating our birthday here! From the moment you are greeted by lovely hostessing you are in the hands of professionals and are cared for until the second you leave. Nothing was missed and everything was done to perfection...the steaks, crab cakes, scampi and various potatoes! Just delicious! And cocktails were quite good as well. Lovely manager, I think Abbey? (So sorry if I got it wrong) has her sharp eye on everything! It's the kind of fabulousness you could once find at Ruth's Chris Beverly Hills, only Bob's today was on another level than RCBH at their prime. Oh! And shout out to the entire Team for the ultra special birthday surprises which included a brownie sundae positively studded with a variety of chocolate candies and ganache, it's the chocoholics dream come true! An absolute pleasure to dine here! And, what anyone from LA County would consider royal treatment - free valet! Don't forget to tip these hard working guys they completely deserve it. Sadly, it looks like some folks "forget". Thank you Abbey and everyone at Bob's for a perfect night. It almost never happens...but it did, right here, at the beautiful OMNI La Costa! Cheers!!!

    The filet is the best I've ever had. I go to any Bob's Steak and Chop House if I can find one. Lollipop lamb chops are amazing, the bread, the potatoes, the wedge salad, never had anything bad off the menu. Always great service.

    First time here at Bob's in May 2024 and I've lived in La Costa for 28 years. I only came here to see The Swinging Johnsons play and the restaurant did not disappoint. I'm a self defined filet mignon snob...I make my own and nothing can compare :-). But this came in a close (ish) second. The location is gorgeous but it can be tricky to find self parking. Yes, it's pricey, but you get what you pay for. Even the bread they served while we waited to order was amazing. I will be back for the Swinging Johnsons this summer but not sure I'd go there just for dinner without the entertainment. I am better able to justify the price with an awesome live band....dinner and a show!
